Midsommar Classic 2025

On June 21, 2025, the Midsommar Classic 2025 was organized. In Sweden, Midsummer (midsommar) is the most important holiday after Christmas. It marks the official start of summer, celebrating the summer solstice and the arrival of the longest day of the year. Due to the midnight sun, it barely gets dark in Sweden during this period, and there is a hint of magic in the air. This year, Midsummer is celebrated on Saturday, June 21. The Swedes leave the city and gather in the countryside to decorate the maypole (majstång), make flower wreaths, and prepare a festive feast.

To celebrate this occasion, the very first Midsommar Classic was scheduled for Midsummer Eve, June 21, 2025—a unique classic car rally, partly because it is driven in the evening. Naturally, several Saabs were at the start, alongside a sizeable delegation of classics from other brands.

In the past, teams in the legendary Viking rally were sent off at the end of the day to drive through the entire night; we want to bring a bit of that feeling back with this rally event.

The full results of the Midsommar Classic can be found on the Dutch SAAB Classic Rallyteam website, but here are the podium finishes in the Tour and Sport classes.
